Arthian is seeking a commercially driven Principal Flood Risk & Drainage Consultant to lead and grow our Water Environment team. This is not a pure delivery role. We are looking for someone who can combine strong technical oversight with business development, client ownership and team leadership.

Graduate Civil Engineer

Arthian are seeking a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to join our growing team within the wider Civil and Structural Engineering group. This role is ideal for a summer 2026 graduate with a civil or structural engineering degree looking to start their career in engineering consultancy.

Structural Team Lead

Any U.K. Office

Arthian is offering an exciting opportunity for a talented Structural Engineer to step into a leadership role and drive our continued growth across the UK. As Structural Team Lead, you will guide a highly skilled engineering team and deliver innovative projects in sectors such as Energy, Manufacturing, and Distilling. With offices nationwide, we embrace hybrid and remote working to support the diverse needs of our staff.

Senior or Principal Consultant – Ecology

Inverness and Central Belt

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to take on a wide variety of challenges, including management of people, clients and projects, technical leadership, business development, commercial management, delivery of training etc. We will work to shape the role around the right person to some degree, but a degree of project management and ornithological skills experience would be advantageous.

Senior Environmental Engineer

Any UK office

The successful candidate will possess an Honours or Masters Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Civil or Environmental Engineering, the physical sciences, or similar with experience in a consultancy role in environmental permitting, air quality, water and wastewater management, hydrology and/or environmental noise assessments.

Senior/Principal Process Engineer (U.K.)

Any UK office

This position would be suited to an experienced individual who is capable of leading complex design projects in high hazard industries, both technically and administratively. Our preference is for someone with experience across a broad range of sectors to support our wide-ranging list of clients e.g. food and drink, chemical, pharmaceutical. Experience in the distilling sector would be viewed favourably.

Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant

Any UK office

The successful candidate will work as a member of our Engineering Group and will be involved in all aspects of professional input to flood risk and drainage projects for a wide variety of sectors and clients.

Senior or Principal Environmental Consultant (Permitting)

Any UK office

The successful candidate will coordinate the delivery of environmental permitting projects across the UK, and will have experience in one or more of the following preferably in a consultancy role; environmental permit applications and variations, environmental impact assessment using appropriate tools e.g. D1 Calculations, H1 Software Tool, SCAIL, ADMS and BAT.

Senior & Principal Process Safety Engineer

Any UK office

Arthian is seeking to recruit senior and principal level process safety engineers to join our expanding team to be based in our rapidly growing offices across the UK to help in the delivery of a diverse range of technical safety studies for our wide-ranging client base.

Occupational Hygiene Consultant

Any UK office

This position is suited to a highly motivated and driven individual looking to develop their career as an occupational hygienist. You will support business and service growth, along with technical delivery of occupational hygiene projects.

Technical Director – Specialist Blast Structural Design

Any UK office

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Technical Director to join our team and support our continued growth throughout the UK. We have offices located throughout the UK and embrace hybrid / remote working to support our staff’s personal circumstances. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead and work on some exciting projects in sectors such as Energy, Petrochemicals, Manufacturing and Distilling.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to project manage and work on some exciting projects in sectors such as Energy, Petrochemicals, Manufacturing and Distilling. They will have expertise in Civil Engineering including drainage, linear infrastructure and pavement engineering.
